Chiropractic

The core treatment in chiropractic therapy is spinal manipulation or adjustment, where the chiropractor applies controlled force to joints of the spine or other parts of the body. The goal is to improve alignment and alleviate pain, as well as to support the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Naturopathic medicine is a form of alternative medicine that combines traditional healing practices with an evidenced-based scientific understanding of health and wellness. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) focus on supporting the body's inherent ability to heal and emphasizes preventive care. Examinations generally take 1 hour, and investigate all aspects of the patient, from personal health history, current symptom presentation, family health history, medications, diet, gut health, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors contributing to the disease process.
Investigations include functional lab testing, physical examination, and imaging if needed.
Treatments include a thorough interpretation of the laboratory testing related to the individual's symptoms and a detailed guide going over the information discussed. We will also explain the phasic plan that includes supplementation, botanical medicine, and dietary interventions necessary to reach optimal health.


Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a form of alternative therapy that involves gentle manipulation of the skull and spine to balance the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and promote self-healing. Developed by osteopath William Sutherland in the early 20th century, craniosacral therapy is based on the idea that subtle movements in the cranial bones and sacrum affect the body's overall health.

This term refers to a Registered Nurse who focuses on holistic health by enhancing the overall wellness of their patients. Nurse Coaches combine the skills they’ve learned in the medical field with lifestyle coaching to help their patients elevate their mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Jennifer Scherbauer is a Chiropractor, Naturopathic Physician, and Acupuncturist that specializes in pain management, functional endocrinology, and women’s health.

Dr. Scherbauer received her certificate of acupuncture and doctorates of Chiropractic and Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. In addition to her doctorates, she obtained a Masters in Applied Anatomy from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Bachelor’s of Science in biology and psychology from University of Dayton, Ohio. She is trained in Webster technique, activator technique, kinesiology taping, and Mckenzie Diagnostic Therapy.

Dr. Scherbauer’s passion lies in identifying and correcting the root cause of pain and illness through natural methods in order to restore the body to vitality. She achieves this through the use of chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, functional laboratory testing, dietary assessment/nutritional modification, botanical medicine, supplementation, homeopathy, and traditional Chinese therapies of acupuncture, auricular therapy, and cupping.

Throughout her clinical practice, she encountered many complicated cases that demonstrated the importance of addressing mental, emotional, and physical causes of disease. This ignited a relentless journey into learning alternative corrective methods; Neuromuscular, Myofascial, Orthopedic, and Osteopathic forms of Bodywork, Z-Health Applied Neurology, NASM Master Trainer (CES, PES, FNS, MMASC) and many more specialties.
